Visakhapatnam Smart City Releases 15 MW Floating Solar Tender

Greater Visakhapatnam Smart City Corporation Ltd. has announced that it has released a tender for the installation of a 15 MW floating solar power plant in Visakhapatnam district.

The project will be developed on Meghadri Gedda reservoir in Visakhapatnam district on a turnkey basis with grid connecting equipment with open access related works and related electrical & civil works under implementation of Smart City Mission.

The scale of work includes design, engineering, procurement & supply, site development, construction, installation and complete operations and maintenance for ten years. The final date for submission of the bid is January 9, 2019. The techno-commercial bid will open on the same date. The price bid will be opened on January 11, 2019.

The technical eligibility criterion of the tender says that a bidder should have designed, supplied, installed and commissioned at least 8 MW of grid connected solar PV projects in the last five financial years, out of which at least one project should have been of 2 MW capacity or above.

The financial eligibility says that the average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs 25 crore in the last three financial years. The smart city project which was launched has concluded into a lot of solar projects being launched by smart cities under the scheme.
