U-Solar participated at IITMAA Sangam 2026 that was held in Bengaluru, bringing together leaders from government, industry and academia to deliberate on India’s clean energy transition. The company highlighted the company’s strategic transition from a conventional EPC contractor to an integrated renewable energy management partner.
The gathering was addressed by Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Education, Government of India, who underscored the role of advanced technology, innovation and domestic manufacturing in reinforcing India’s power infrastructure and long-term self-reliance.
To date, U-Solar has delivered more than 300 MW of renewable assets, with another 200 MW under active execution. Underpinned by this operational scale, the firm’s turnover surged by over 100 percent, growing from around INR 425 crore last year to cross INR 1,000 crore in the current fiscal year.
Speaking at the panel discussion, ‘The Solar RE-volution: Powering India’s Sustainable Growth.’ K. R. Harinarayan, Founder and CEO of U-Solar Clean Energy, elaborated on the changing landscape of renewable energy deployment.
He said, “Our focus has always been on delivering technology-driven clean energy solutions that align with exact customer load profiles. Beyond rooftop installations, we are pioneering BIPV for data centers, large-scale floating solar and off-grid island hybrid systems, leveraging in-house AI tools and advanced battery storage to drive true decarbonization across India and international markets.”
Harinarayan added, “Backed by a 100 plus member engineering and project delivery team, U-Solar’s milestone projects include strategic BIPV installations for commercial hubs and data centers in Chennai and Mumbai, alongside major floating solar deployments for Damodar Valley Corporation at Maithon Dam and the Bhilai Steel Plant. Demonstrating its international execution capabilities, the company has also delivered a government-supported island hybrid power project spanning three islands north of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.”
As U-Solar consolidates its regional presence in Sri Lanka and Nepal, the company is actively pursuing new market expansion opportunities across the Middle East, delivering technology-backed decarbonisation solutions to industrial and commercial clients globally.
With nearly 15 years of operational track record, U-Solar has evolved beyond rooftop installations into high-complexity ground-mounted, floating solar, and Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). The company designs tailor-made solutions mapped directly to clients’ load profiles and energy requirements through an optimised blend of on-site solar, off-site open access, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
