Resolven Signs 70 MW Wind Power PPA with SJVN

Resolven has signed a 70 MW wind power PPA with SJVN at a tariff of INR 3.64/kWh for a project to be developed in Karnataka, with commissioning scheduled for December 2027.

Resolven has announced that the company has signed a 70 MW Wind Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN for a wind power project proposed to be developed in Karnataka.

Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 185 GWh of clean electricity annually, sufficient to meet the power requirements of more than 45,700 Indian households. It is also expected to avoid approximately 176,300 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, the company stated.

The company secured the capacity through its SPV, Lambent Energy (Eight), at a tariff of INR 3.64/kWh in SJVN’s auction in March 2026 to develop 600 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects.

The tender for this was floated in September 2025.

The scope of work includes developing these projects along with the transmission network up to the interconnection/delivery point. The developer must also install and maintain a GPS-enabled automatic weather station (AWS).

The tender proposed to promote only commercially established and operational technologies to minimise the technology risk and to achieve the timely commissioning of the projects. Wind turbines to be used in the project must be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

The developer must maintain a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of at least 22 percent.

Resolven earlier stated that the project is scheduled for commissioning in December 2027, further adding that, with this, its under-construction pipeline now reaches 2.2 GW, while the company's operational capacity stands at about 600 MWp.
