Que: What is Recyclekaro showcasing at The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025?
Ans: At The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Recyclekaro is proud to showcase our cutting-edge recycling technology, designed to achieve over 95 percent efficiency and 98 percent purity in recovering valuable materials. What sets us apart is our commitment to sustainable operations, with zero emissions and zero discharge at every step of the recycling process. This technology not only underscores our efficiency but also reaffirms our dedication to environmental responsibility.
Que: With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, how is Recyclekaro addressing the challenges of lithium-ion battery recycling, and what is your current processing capacity?
Ans: The rise of electric vehicles has brought an urgent need for advanced lithium-ion battery recycling solutions, and Recyclekaro is rising to the challenge. By forging international technological collaborations with South Korea, Japan, the EU, and other global leaders, we are continuously enhancing our technological efficiency. These partnerships have enabled us to scale up operations and refine our recycling processes. Currently, we are expanding our processing capacity for lithium-ion batteries to 10,000 metric tonnes this year, marking a significant leap forward.
Que: What strategies are in place to process 10,000 MT of batteries by 2025, while maintaining over 90 percent efficiency and zero waste discharge?
Ans: Our strategy is grounded in robust planning and phased expansion. This year, we are scaling up our lithium-ion battery recycling capacity at our Wada plant near Mumbai. The large-scale plant expansion is on track to be completed by April 2025. With state-of-the-art technology and operational excellence, we are confident in maintaining over 90 percent efficiency and adhering to our zero-waste discharge policy.
Que: What policy reforms do you believe are necessary to empower the recycling sector in India, and how is Recyclekaro engaging with policymakers?
Ans: The recycling sector in India needs robust policy support, including stricter enforcement of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, incentives for green technologies, and frameworks to attract private investments. Recyclekaro actively engages with policymakers and industry bodies to advocate for these reforms. We participate in discussions, share industry insights, and collaborate on crafting policies that drive sustainability in recycling.
Que: What new technologies or innovations is Recyclekaro working on to stay ahead in the recycling industry?
Ans: Innovation remains at the heart of Recyclekaro's journey. We are actively working on manufacturing battery-grade raw materials by recycling older batteries, a transformative step for the industry. To achieve this, we have partnered with leading global entities like ING-K Japan and AGT-South Korea, leveraging their technological expertise. More details on these advancements will be shared with the media soon, as we continue to lead the way in innovation.
Que: What initiatives has Recyclekaro undertaken to educate businesses and consumers about the benefits of a circular economy?
Ans: Recyclekaro is committed to spreading awareness and fostering a culture of responsible recycling. Through community recycling drives, corporate partnerships, and collaborations with educational institutions, we’ve actively engaged businesses and consumers. These initiatives include hands-on e-waste collection events and educational campaigns on the importance of a circular economy. On social media, we’ve amplified our efforts with a diverse range of content aimed at demystifying recycling. In 2025, we aim to expand this outreach, producing five times more content for community recycling than we did in 2024.
Que: Is Recyclekaro exploring opportunities to export recycled raw materials to global markets?
Ans: Yes, we are actively exploring opportunities to cater to global markets. Our past experience in exporting recycled raw materials has been successful, and we remain open to partnerships that align with our capabilities and vision. With a proven track record, we are eager to build new relationships and contribute to international supply chains for sustainable raw materials.
