Que: Can you provide an overview of the products offered by Vishakha Renewables for our readers?
Ans: Vishakha Renewables is the largest solar ancillary manufacturer in India with a leading capacity of 15 GW. Our core expertise lies in mass manufacturing and developing innovative products ensuring optimal cost efficiency. We are the top manufacturer of components for solar panels: Solar Aluminum Frames, Solar Encapsulants, Solar Backsheets, and Solar Glass. With state-of-the-art technology, team of experts and highly skilled professionals, Vishakha Renewables is focused on pioneering next-gen products.
Que: Could you tell us more about the significance of the solar glass manufacturing plant in Mundra, Gujarat and its im pact on India’s solar revolution?
Ans: With a massive capacity of 660 TPD, our fully automated plant has significantly increased domestic solar glass production, making it one of the largest facilities globally. This advanced plant, which operates without manual intervention, aligns with our commitment to sustainability by utilizing non-polluting LNG instead of conventional fuels. As a result, the overall cost of solar panels has decreased, as manufacturers no longer need to rely solely on imports. Vishakha Renewables aims to strengthen the ecosystem of the Indian solar industry by creating a domestic one-stop shop for many crucial solar panel parts, furthering the goal of sustainable practices in the sector.
The strategic location of Mundra, Gujarat ensures proximity to raw materials, power, and a nearby port. This cutting-edge facility, a first-of-its-kind in India, is poised to contribute significantly to the sector. Upon successful commissioning, we aspire to expand solar glass capacity by an additional 8 GW with growing expertise.
Que: Vishakha glass plant boasts impressive features such as the 660 TPD solar glass furnace, making it the largest of its kind in India. What advantages does it offer in terms of production capacity and efficiency?
Ans: Some of the advantages offered by us in terms of production capacity and efficiency are:
• Higher Output: A 660 TPD furnace signifies a massive pro duction capacity compared to smaller ones.
• Economies of Scale: With such a large production capacity, Vishakha Renewables can benefit from economies of scale. This means the cost per unit of solar glass produced reduces as production scales up. This can potentially bring down the overall cost of solar panels for manufacturers.
• Efficiency Gains: Larger furnaces can also be inherently more efficient. They may require less energy to operate per unit of glass produced compared to smaller furnaces. This translates to cost savings and a reduced environmental foot print for Vishakha’s operations.
• Meeting Market Demands: India’s solar energy sector is experiencing rapid growth. A high-capacity furnace like Vishakha’s ensures they can keep pace with the rising demand for solar glass domestically. This reduces dependence on im ports and ensures a steady supply of solar components for manufacturers.
Que: What sets your products apart in terms of quality and performance?
Ans: We have a world-class manufacturing facility with advanced equipments, an in-house laboratory for rigorous quality control checks throughout the production process and a team of experienced quality personnel ensuring adherence to stringent standards. Their commitment to quality is reflected in their certifications, including quality management and environmental management. Vishakha Renewables highlights the performance and durability of its products. The firm’s focus on quality control, certifications, performance-driven features, and customer validation suggests that they offer high-quality solar components built for long-lasting performance.
Que: Could you share some insights into the latest technological advancements in the solar ancillaries manufacturing sector?
Ans: Some of the technological advancements in the solar ancillaries manufacturing sector are:
Advanced Glass Coatings: Anti-reflective and light-trapping coatings for solar glass can improve light transmission and energy capture.
Smart Manufacturing Processes: Automation and digitalisation are playing a growing role:
• Robotic Assembly Lines: These ensure faster, more precise assembly of solar panels, improving production efficiency and
quality control.
Data-Driven Manufacturing: Real-time data analysis helps optimise production processes, minimise waste, and identify potential quality issues early on.
• Machine Learning for Quality Control: Machine learning algorithms can analyse images and data to detect defects in solar components more efficiently than traditional methods.
Sustainability Focus: Manufacturers are increasingly focused on eco-friendly practices:
• Recycled Materials: Using recycled materials in solar panel components reduces environmental impact and production costs.
• Lead-Free Solders: Replacing lead in soldering processes promotes worker safety and environmental responsibility.
• End-of-Life Recycling: Developing efficient methods to recycle solar panels at the end of their lifespan is becoming a priority.
These advancements are just a glimpse into the dynamic world of solar ancillaries manufacturing. As the industry strives for cleaner, more efficient energy production, we can expect even more exciting innovations in the years to come.
Que: How do you ensure that you stay aligned with the continuous advancements in the industry and the world of technology?
Ans: To stay aligned with industry advancements and technological developments, our company has a team of experts focused on pioneering next-gen products. We actively follow and set trends in the industry, collaborating with research institutes and participating in global exhibitions and conferences to stay informed about changing customer needs. This allows us to adapt our strategies and products accordingly, ensuring we remain agile and adaptive in the ever-evolving market.
