Zodiac Energy Receives its First International Solar Plant Order Worth USD 7.2 Lakh

Ahmedabad-based solar EPC firm Zodiac Energy has secured its first international order to install a 2 MWp rooftop solar plant with battery storage in Zambia, valued at USD 720,626. The project is expected to be completed by February 2025.

Ahmedabad-based solar EPC company Zodiac Energy has announced that the company has received its first international order to set up a grid-connected 2MWp rooftop solar plant with battery energy storage in Zambia, Africa.

The estimated value of the order, received from Strongpak Ltd., is about USD 720,626 and is expected to be completed by the end of February 2025, informed the company in an exchange filing.

The scope of work includes designing, engineering, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning of grid-tied 2 MWp rooftop solar system with a battery energy storage system (BESS) on a turnkey basis.

Originally incorporated as Zodiac Genset Pvt. Ltd. in 1992, the company was renamed to Zodiac Energy Pvt. Ltd. in 2007. It became a Public Ltd. company in 2017.

“Our company has installed solar power plants for many prominent clients like Sun-Edison India Ltd., Adani Group, Torrent Power Ltd., Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Reserve Bank of India, Directorate of Lighthouse and Lightships Government of India (GOI), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. to name a few. The company has served more than 15,000 customers with having 300+ MW solar portfolio,” claimed the company.
