Zetwerk has bagged an order from the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) to set up EV fast chargers across the country. The company says it won the tender through a competitive bidding process that saw participation from more than 40 leading EV suppliers across the country.
With this association, Zetwerk says it will support IOCL’s aspiration to become a 360-degree energy solutions provider company, actively investing in emerging trends in mobility such as EVs.
As per the understanding, Zetwerk shall set up more than 1,400 EV chargers with a capacity of 50-60 kW and 100-120 kW. These will be the DC Dual gun CCS2 DC Chargers that can charge two vehicles simultaneously with a dynamic load-sharing mode.
Abhay Adya, Business Head – Renewables, Zetwerk said, “This prestigious partnership with IOCL, the leading energy company of India, is very significant for Zetwerk’s vision for revolutionising EV charging infrastructure in India. These charging stations will be deployed as per requirement across IOCL outlets, providing a seamless charging experience. By conveniently locating these stations in major cities, we will enable the widespread adoption of EV mobility and drive the nation towards a sustainable future.”
Zetwerk states that this is a significant win for it and it has been expanding its reach in the renewable energy sector and has been associated with the setting up of Bangladesh’s largest solar power plant.
