On October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh will celebrate with a 'Har Ghar Solar Abhiyan' in Lucknow and Varanasi for the entire month.

In line with the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency's (UPNEDA) Solar Energy Policy 2022, which aims to install 6000 megawatts of solar rooftop plants (residential/commercial), this campaign's goal is to promote the use of solar energy and make efforts to meet that target.

The details on the net meter application and installation processes will be made available soon.

The first boot camp for the 'Har Ghar Solar Abhiyan', according to UPNEDA Director Anupam Shukla, will be held at Vikas Bhawan in Lucknow and next to the Municipal Corporation office in Varanasi.

He claimed that in addition to residential and commercial consumers, concerned officers and staff from various other departments will also attend this camp organized in the interest of consumers.

The installation of solar rooftop systems, the application process, as well as specifics on how to set up net meters, will all be covered in detail during the camp.
