Wärtsilä announced the participation of Venkatesh R, Managing Director, Wärtsilä India, as a key speaker in the session on ‘Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality’ at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit – Finland Country Session.
 
The session, titled ‘Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality: What can Finland and Gujarat do together to reach those targets?’ highlighted the robust bilateral trade ties between Finland and Gujarat and explored avenues for collaboration in achieving ambitious sustainability goals.
 
In 2023, Finland launched India specific country strategy for India DESI. DESI combines all that Finland is known for around the world; digitalization, education, sustainability, and innovation. Gujarat's role in Finland's country strategy is crucial, leading the way in energy transition, carbon neutrality, and sustainable development in India.
 
During his address, Venkatesh R emphasised Wärtsilä's commitment to supporting the sustainability targets as also stressed upon its sustainable solutions for the energy & marine markets, illustrating how Wärtsilä is contributing to the global effort in achieving carbon neutrality.
