WABAG Secures 100 MLD Sea Water Desalination Plant Order from Indosol Solar

VA TECH WABAG has entered the solar PV sector with an order worth INR 1,000 crore towards a 100 MLD sea water desalination plant from Indosol Solar for their 10 GW integrated Solar PV manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.

VA TECH WABAG has announced that the company has won an order worth INR 1,000 crore from Indosol Solar.

The order includes the scope of design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the 100 MLD desalination plant, which will be executed over a 38-month period, followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance contract.

Commenting on this order win, Saravanan Krishnan, Head – Desalination, India Cluster said, “This mega order marks WABAG’s entry into the Solar PV sector which is a key segment for the future. WABAG’s technological expertise, proven track record and competitive pricing enabled us to offer the lowest life-cycle cost of water for Indosol Solar.”

He further added that the plant will be built with state-of-the-art desalination technologies, designed for superior energy efficiency and production of water to meet the requirements of the 10 GW integrated solar PV manufacturing unit of Indosol Solar in Andhra Pradesh.
