Waaree Energies Ltd., has announced the expansion of its solar module manufacturing capacity in the United States, with the addition of a 1.6 GW facility at its Brookshire, Texas, location.

The new line will double Waaree’s total US capacity to 3.2 GW, strengthening its commitment to local manufacturing and reinforcing its strategic presence in the American renewable energy market. The expansion, recently approved by the company’s Board, comes at a critical juncture for the global solar industry.

As the sector navigates a period marked by supply chain diversification, localised manufacturing, and increasing demand for reliable partners, Waaree’s decision underscores its long-term vision and customer-focused approach.

“At a time when the world is redefining the rules of global trade, we're not waiting for the dust to settle – we're building through it,” said Dr Amit Paithankar, Whole-time Director and CEO, Waaree Energies Ltd.

“The United States is not just a key market for us; it's a cornerstone of the next energy order. By doubling our module capacity to 3.2 GW in Texas, we're reaffirming a belief that goes beyond business; it's about trust, resilience, and shared ambition," he added.

Dr Paithankar emphasised the company’s decisive approach, “Solar continues to be the cheapest form of energy. We don't speculate on demand – we create certainty through commitment. Our approach is clear: secure the order, invest in capacity, and deliver with confidence. The strength of our US order book is a testament to the trust we've built, and this expansion is a signal – we're here, we're growing, and we're deeply invested in powering America's energy future.”

The new production line will be seamlessly integrated into Waaree’s existing US operations, enhancing supply chain reliability and ensuring timely delivery to American customers. It also supports the broader industry push toward domestic manufacturing, aligned with the goals of the US Inflation Reduction Act and other policy frameworks aimed at accelerating the energy transition.

This expansion reflects Waaree’s continued strategy to de-risk its global operations by building local ecosystems in high-growth markets.
