Waaree Energies Secures 200 MW Module Supply Order from ENGIE India

Waaree Energies, a prominent solar module manufacturer, has been awarded a 200 MW module supply contract by ENGIE India for a solar project located in Sayla village in the Surendra Nagar district of Gujarat.

Waaree Energies, a prominent solar module manufacturer, has been awarded a 200 MW module supply contract by ENGIE India for a solar project located in Sayla village in the Surendra Nagar district of Gujarat.
 
Although the contract's financial terms were not disclosed, it is a significant milestone for Waaree Energies, highlighting its position as a leading solar module producer in India.
 
ENGIE India, a subsidiary of the French-based ENGIE Group, is actively developing the Sayla village project, designated as GUVNL 2, under a 25-year solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL).
 
The supply mandate between Waaree and ENGIE is slated to commence in November this year and is expected to conclude by February 2024.
 
The project will employ 200 MW of AHNAY 545 Wp Bifacial modules provided by Waaree, generating an estimated 34 crore units of electricity annually.
