WAA Solar Develops 14.96 MW/21.747 MWp Solar Projects in Gujarat Under PM-KUSUM
WAA Solar Ltd. is developing 14.96 MW/21.747 MWp ground-mounted solar power plants in Gujarat for Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (PGVCL) under the Component C of PM-KUSUM Yojana.

WAA Solar Ltd. has announced the development of a cumulative capacity of 14.96 MW/21.747 MWp ground-mounted solar power plants in Gujarat for Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (PGVCL) under the component C of PM Kusum Yojana.
This initiative underscores WAA Solar Limited’s commitment to India’s clean energy transition, enhancing energy security, and supporting the nation’s sustainability goals. “By harnessing solar power, we continue to drive impactful change in the renewable energy sector, empowering communities and fostering a greener future,” stated the company in a regulatory filing.
PGVCL, in May 2024, awarded 479 MW solar projects to various developers under component C of PM KUSUM Yojana. WAA Solar secured 47.5 MW across 14 locations.
Established in 2009, WAA Solar is in the business of solar power generation and transmission. In 2010, the company was acquired by Madhav Power Pvt. Ltd., a Madhav Group Company. Some of the notable projects of the company include a 10.25 MW Solar PV Power Project in Surendranagar, Gujarat which was awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL), a 10.42 MW Solar PV Power Project in Koppal district of Karnataka, a 4 MW Solar PV Power Project in Mansa district of Punjab and another 4 MW solar project in Vadodara, Gujarat.
