Vestas Procures 158 MW Repowering Order for Three Wind Projects in USA

The orders contain supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, along with a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised asset performance.

Vestas has procured a 158 MW order to repower three undisclosed projects in the USA. The order comprises 72 V120-2.2 MW turbines for the three projects.

The orders contain supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, along with a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised asset performance.

Vestas has repowered more than 1 GW of projects in the previous five years throughout the major turbine brands in the USA.

Turbine deliveries for each project are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The customer and projects are undisclosed.
