UPNEDA Issues Tender for Solar-Based Drinking Water Kiosks in UP
This bid invites proposals for the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of solar-based drinking water kiosks in various solar cities across Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has announced a bid document, Bid No 01/UPNEDA/Solar Based Drinking water Kiosks/2024-25.
This bid invites proposals for the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of solar-based drinking water kiosks in various solar cities across Uttar Pradesh. The project also includes a comprehensive warranty and maintenance service for a period of five years.
The project aims to install a tentative quantity of 20 solar-based drinking water kiosks, depending on the availability of work. The estimated cost of the project, inclusive of GST, is INR 3.99 crores. The completion of the project is expected within four months from the date of the work order issuance or as specified by UPNEDA.
Interested bidders must pay a tender fee of INR 11,800 (inclusive of GST) via DD, RTGS/NEFT, or any other online mode. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to 2 percent of the estimated cost in the form of a Bank Guarantee (BG) or Demand Draft (DD). The successful bidder will also need to provide a performance security equivalent to 5 percent of the work order value.
Key dates for this tender include a pre-bid meeting scheduled for August 9, 2024. The bid submission end date is August 23, 2024, and the online technical bid opening will also take place on this date. The financial bid opening date for technically qualified bidders will be announced later. The rates quoted in the bid will remain valid for three months from the opening of the financial bid.
To qualify, bidders must meet specific technical and financial criteria. Technically, bidders should possess valid test reports of the complete system/components (PV module, PCU cum inverter, Battery (LiFePo4), etc.) from MNRE/NABL accredited test labs. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) should have at least three years of experience in manufacturing and supplying the respective items.
Additionally, bidders must have supplied and installed at least 30 percent of the bid quantity (6 kiosks) to central or state government organisations within the last five years.
Financially, the bidders must have an Overall Average Annual Turnover (ATO) in the best three of the last five financial years amounting to at least 30 percent of the tender cost, which is INR 1.19 crores. The bidder’s net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year must also be positive.
This invitation to bid is open to all eligible agencies, firms, companies, LLPs, and state and central government agencies that meet the stipulated qualifying requirements.
