UPNEDA Invites Bids for Solarising 10,000 Agricultural Pumps in Uttar Pradesh
UPNEDA seeks bids for supplying and maintaining 10,000 solar PV systems for agriculture under the KUSUM C-1 Scheme, with a project value of INR 407.41 crore.

The scope of the tender involves the complete process of supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV systems. In addition to these core activities, the project includes a comprehensive five-year maintenance plan to ensure the systems remain operational and efficient over time. The integration of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with the solar systems is a key component, aimed at optimizing the performance of the solar-powered pumps.
Financially, the project is estimated to cost INR 407.41 crore, inclusive of GST. Bidders are required to pay a non-refundable tender fee of INR 10,000 plus 18 percent GST, bringing the total to INR 11,800. Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of 2 percent of the estimated project cost must be provided by interested bidders.
The tender documents will be available for download starting August 30, 2024, through the e-procurement portal on the UPNEDA official website. The prospective bidders are invited to participate in a pre-bid meeting scheduled for September 6, 2024, at 12:30 PM, where they can seek clarifications and discuss project details.
The deadline for submitting electronic bids is September 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM. The technical bids will be opened on September 24, 2024, at 12:30 PM. The financial bids will be opened subsequently, only for those bidders who pass the technical evaluation. All bid openings will be conducted at the UPNEDA Head Office in Lucknow.
UPNEDA's Director has noted that the agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids without providing reasons. This tender is a crucial step in Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to boost renewable energy adoption in agriculture, aiming to make farming practices more sustainable and energy-efficient throughout the state.
