UPNEDA Invites Bids for 2 MW Hybrid Rooftop Solar Plants in UP Government Buildings

Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a tender to select developers to set up 11 kW to 50 kW on-grid hybrid solar rooftop power plants with battery backup for captive use (Capex Mode) in government buildings in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has floated a tender to select developers to set up on-grid solar rooftop plants with battery back of a cumulative capacity of about 2 MW in government buildings in Uttar Pradesh.

The scope of work includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning including comprehensive warranty maintenance for 10 years of 11 kW to 50 kW on-grid hybrid solar rooftop power plant with battery backup for captive use (Capex Mode) in various government buildings at various places in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The projects must be completed within 4 months from the date of issuance of the work order. Total cumulative capacity is approximately 2 MW and the estimated cost is about INR 44 crore (including GST).

Bidders need to pay INR 11,800 (including GST) as e-tender cost. Additionally, the bidder needs to submit EMD in the form of BG or DD of two percent of the estimated cost. Selected bidders need to furnish performance security amounting to five percent of the work order value.

The last date for submission of bids is November 29, 2024. The techno-commercial bid will be opened on November 30, 2024.

The bidder should have continuously supplied and installed solar rooftop power plants for 30 percent of the bid quantity, i.e. 600 kW, in the last five financial years to any central/state government organisation (including local bodies or autonomous institutions working under it)/company.

As for financial eligibility, the overall average annual turnover of the bidder in the best-performing three years of the last five financial years must be at least 30 percent of the tender cost i.e. INR 13.20 crore. The bidder’s net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year must be positive.
