Union Power Minister RK Singh to Inaugurate IEEMA’s DistribuELEC 2024 in Mumbai

The Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) is all set to launch DistribuELEC 2024, a flagship event that promises to revolutionize India's electrical and electronics industry. Taking place from January 16 to 18, 2024, this three-day extravaganza will be inaugurated by the esteemed Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh, at the prestigious Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

This event is a direct response to the commendable power reforms implemented by the Government of India, which have successfully transformed the nation from a power deficit to a power supply powerhouse.

DistribuELEC is India's leading exhibition on Hi-Tech Power Distribution, providing a comprehensive display of products, technologies, and services spanning from 220V to 33KV. Alongside traditional electrical equipment such as transformers, cables, capacitors, switchgear, meters, insulators, and conductors, this event will also showcase innovative advancements in distribution automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, advanced metering, communications technologies, cybersecurity, and electrical fire safety.

Hamza Arsiwala, the esteemed President of IEEMA, enthusiastically expressed his anticipation for the upcoming event. He eloquently stated that “DistribuELEC serves as a pivotal platform, bringing together industry leaders, utilities, manufacturers, and technology providers. This gathering aims to showcase innovative solutions that address crucial aspects such as Smart Grids, Outage Management, Demand Management, Metering, MicroGrid, Storage, Substation, Energy Efficient Buildings, and Feeder Automation. Undoubtedly, DistribuELEC represents a significant stride towards fostering a more resilient and efficient power distribution system, as well as building a robust electrical ecosystem in India.”

Two noteworthy concurrent sub-events, BuildELEC and Intelect, will be held alongside DistribuELEC. BuildELEC aims to showcase a wide array of electrical solutions specifically designed for residential and commercial buildings. It will serve as a distinctive platform for showcasing cutting-edge smart electrical technologies and equipment.

On the other hand, Intelect, a conference dedicated to intelligent electricity distribution and consumption, will facilitate insightful discussions on the future direction of the industry.

Charu Mathur, the Director General of IEEMA, has emphasized the immense significance of these sub-events. She states that “BuildELEC and Intelect play a pivotal role in drawing focused attention towards crucial aspects of electrical and electronics development. Moreover, she highlights how these events align seamlessly with the broader vision of DistribuELEC. By offering a comprehensive perspective of the industry's potential, these concurrent events enhance the overall experience for attendees.”
