Vikram Solar, the Kolkata headquartered global specialist in manufacturing PV solar modules, emerged top of the lot in a field simulation study conducted  by Mobasolar, France, to benchmark module performance of various companies for their project planned for installation in Bristol, UK. Vikram Solar modules produced the highest Specific Energy Yield (kWh/kWp) amongst 9 global module manufacturers.

The Simulation study was performed on a Roof Top System where modules were inclined at 300 South and connected to Fronius Inverter (IG40,4.1KW) . Each System used 16 nos. of 250 Wp modules. The Performance Ratio and Specific Energy Yield (KWh/KW) were recorded. The highest specific energy yield means that the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) using Vikram Solar modules will be the lowest.

Ivan Saha, President and Chief Technology Officer, Vikram Solar, said, “We at Vikram Solar strive for highest module efficiency and specific energy yield by using lowest temperature coefficient cells. The modules capture maximum light through specially structured glass with the help of high light- transmittance EVA.”
