UAE Collaborates with India to Invest in Renewable Energy

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has placed as the fourth-greatest investor in India during the financial year 2022-23.

As per the latest reports, the UAE has surged some other countries to secure this position, displaying the strong economic ties between the two nations.

The UAE has constantly displayed its commitment to India’s economic development and has become a significant strategic partner.

The collaboration between the UAE and India retains great potential for both nations, accessing opportunities for association in multiple sectors and paving the path for a prosperous future.

Singapore was the largest investor in India with USD 17.2 billion investment in FY23, ensued by Mauritius (USD 6.1 billion) and the US (USD 6 billion).

Rudra Kumar Pandey, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, stated, “Apart from CEPA, another growth engine of FDI from UAE in India is the investment commitment from UAE. UAE has committed to invest USD 75 billion in the Indian infrastructure sector over a period of time. It has also committed to partner with India in the renewable energy sector”.

Under the treaty, a number of goods from both countries are achieving zero-duty access to each other’s markets, apart from relaxed norms for boosting investments.
