Trina Solar's cutting-edge Vertex N 720W series modules are driving innovation in the field of agrivoltaic farming with the successful connection of a 100 MW project to the grid in mid-February.
Positioned as one of the flagship agrivoltaic farming initiatives in Wanning, this project represents a convergence of clean energy production and agricultural sustainability.
Equipped with Trina Solar's Vertex N 720W series modules, known for their efficiency and reliability, the project is poised to generate an average annual power output of 133 GWh. What sets this initiative apart is its integration of vegetable greenhouses beneath the solar panels, a model that not only promotes environmental conservation but also enables social development by creating approximately 100 job opportunities for local farmers, thereby significantly boosting their income levels.
Trina Solar, a company in smart PV and energy storage solutions, has spearheaded advancements in its i-TOPCon technology, resulting in the upgraded Vertex N 720W series modules achieving an impressive efficiency of up to 23.2 percent. Widely acclaimed across diverse settings, these modules have been instrumental in various high-profile projects globally.
In a testament to their reliability and performance, Trina Solar's Vertex N 720W series modules have been selected for a 500 MW PV power station in the high-altitude desert region of northwest China, connected to the grid in late December. This installation is projected to yield approximately 1 billion kWh of energy annually, showcasing the modules' suitability for large-scale utility projects.
Furthermore, Trina Solar's modules were chosen for a 30 MW integrated photovoltaic energy storage project in the same desert region, with installation completed in late December.
Another notable achievement includes the connection of an 88 MW solar and storage plant, highlighting the versatility and effectiveness of Trina Solar's technology in diverse applications.
Cao Yunduan, head of branding and marketing at Trina Solar, expressed confidence in the widespread adoption of Vertex N 720W series modules, particularly in challenging environments. "We are confident our Vertex N 720W series modules will increasingly be put into service worldwide," said Yunduan.
