Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth INR 70,000 crore with the Government of Gujarat at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat summit.
The project entails the development of 10,000 MW Renewable Energy Power projects, encompassing solar, wind, hybrid, round-the-clock (RTC), peak, and Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE).
The expansive project is strategically planned to cover 50,000 acres of encumbrance-free Government land in key locations across Gujarat.
This infusion of capital is expected to play a pivotal role in Gujarat's clean energy landscape, aligning with broader sustainability goals.
A key highlight of this initiative is its potential impact on employment generation. The envisaged 10,000 MW renewable energy power projects have the potential to create job opportunities for over 3,000 individuals. This not only addresses the immediate energy needs of the state but also contributes significantly to the socio-economic development of Gujarat.
The comprehensive nature of the project, covering solar, wind, hybrid, RTC, peak, and FDRE, reflects Tata Power's commitment to providing diverse and sustainable energy solutions.
The inclusion of round-the-clock and dispatchable RE components underlines the company's forward-looking approach to meet the evolving energy demands of the future.
