Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation's (Toshiba) subsidiary in Shanghai, Toshiba Electronic Devices (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., has been honored with the 2022 Global Electronics Achievement Award Award for 'Power Semiconductor/Driver of the Year' by the WEAA.

Toshiba Electronic Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. accepted the honor at an award ceremony in Shenzhen, China.

US-based AspenCore is one of the world's leading technology media groups, and its highly regarded WEAA annually recognizes companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to innovating and advancing the electronics industry.

This year, Toshiba's strategic low-voltage MOSFET XPQR3004PB MOSFET received the 'Power Semiconductor/Driver of the Year' award.

Tsutomu Nomura, President of Toshiba Electronic Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said: "We are delighted to receive the prestigious WEAA award. This is the fifth consecutive year that our products have won. Toshiba will firmly continue to provide power electronics products to the automotive and other industries, to improve the operating efficiency of the equipment and promote carbon neutrality.”

Launched this fiscal year, the XPQR3004PB is an N-channel, 40V low-voltage MOSFET for automotive applications, such as battery switches in eco-friendly cars and driving assistance motors in mild hybrid cars.

This product encapsulates Toshiba's most advanced UMOS IX die in an L-TOGL™ package. AspenCore learned that this product has the characteristics of high current, high heat dissipation capability and high reliability.

Going forward, Toshiba will enhance its competitiveness in the power semiconductor business by providing products with high energy-saving capabilities, and contribute to a low-energy society and carbon neutrality.
