Torrent Power Commences 115 MW Wind Energy Project in Gujarat

The company inked a power purchase agreement for a tenure of 25 years with SECI which has a back-to-back Power Sale Agreement (PSA) with Haryana.

Torrent Solargen procured the project through competitive tendering under SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) Wind Tranche V.

Torrent Power one of its subsidiaries has commenced a 115 MW wind project in the Devbhumi Dwarka district of Gujarat.

The company inked a power purchase agreement for a tenure of 25 years with SECI which has a back-to-back Power Sale Agreement (PSA) with Haryana. Wind turbines for the project have been derived from GE.

With an expansion of 115 MW wind power, Torrent Power's established renewable capacity has achieved 1.18 GW, and an overall production to 4.2 GW.

Torrent Power, with a turnover of INR 25,694 crore is the consolidated power utility of Torrent Group.

Torrent Power has a presence throughout the whole power value chain of generation, transmission, and distribution.

The power company’s overall established Renewable capacity has now raised around 1.18 GW and overall production to 4.2 GW after the expansion of the aforesaid 115 MW wind power project.

In addition, a renewable capacity of ~0.6 GW is under different phases of development. Align with its sustainability commitments and the Government’s target to attain 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
