THDC India Invites Bids for 100 MW Solar PV Projects in Karnataka
THDC India Ltd. has issued a tender for the development of 100.1 MWac/135.2 MWp ground-mounted solar PV plants at KPCL thermal plant premises in Karnataka on EPC mode. The last date for submission of bids is January 30, 2025.

THDC India Ltd. has floated a tender for the implementation of 100.1 MWac/135.2 MWp ground-mounted solar PV plants in the premises of KPCL thermal plants in Raichur, Yeramarus and Bellary village in Karnataka on EPC Mode.
While the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) will house a solar plant with a capacity of 53.9MW(AC)/72.8MW(DC), the capacities of the proposed solar plants in the other two plants - Yeramarus Thermal Power Station (YTPS) and Bellary Thermal Power Stations (BTPS), will be 30.8MW(AC)/41.6MW(DC) and 15.4MW(AC)/20.8MW(DC), respectively.
The estimated cost of the project is about INR 411.40 crore. The project must be completed within 12 months from the date of issuance of NoA/LoA. Further, the bidder also needs to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for 3 years.
Bidders need to furnish INR 8.22 crore as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
The last date for the submission of bids is January 30, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 31, 2025.
'Class-I local suppliers’ only are eligible to participate in this tender.
The contractor must establish a bay extension at the 220KV switchyard within the plant premises of RTPS and BTPS, following the scheme of the existing bay or as directed by the authorities. The delivery point (metering point) for RTPS and BTPS is at the HV Busbar of the respective substation.
The delivery point (metering point) at YTPS is at HV Busbar Chicksugur substation which is around 2 km from the plant at 110kV, the bay extension at the 110KV switchyard including the augmentation of the bay along with the power transformer shall follow the scheme of the existing bay or as directed by the authorities. This extension will include the necessary control, protection, data communication, and metering panels at the identified location.
The PV Module must be enlisted in ALMM – List I in accordance with extant provisions of Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirements for Compulsory Registration, Order, 2019) and subsequent amendments.
