Teerth Gopicon Signs INR 1,500 Cr MoU with MP Govt to Set Up 6 GW Solar Manufacturing Plant

Indore-based Teerth Gopicon Ltd. is venturing into solar manufacturing with a 3 GW TOPCon module and a 3 GW solar cell facility in Madhya Pradesh. The company signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government to invest INR 1,500 crore for the same at the Global Investor Summit 2025.

Indore-based Teerth Gopicon Ltd. is foraying into solar manufacturing with a 3 GW TOPCon solar module manufacturing and a 3 GW solar cell manufacturing line to be set up in Madhya Pradesh. The company has signed an MoU worth INR 1,500 crore with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh during the Global Investor Summit – 2025 held at Bhopal on February 24, 2025.

Madhya Pradesh government will facilitate the company to obtain the necessary clearances and concessions from various departments, organisations and other stakeholders.

For the uninitiated, Teerth Gopicon specialises in engineering construction and development, mainly focusing on roads, sewerage and water distribution projects in Madhya Pradesh and is gradually expanding its geographical footprint to other states.

Recently, the company also entered the solar EPC business. In January 2025, the company secured 5,075 kW rooftop solar projects under PM Surya Ghar Yojana from SJVN. The tender, issued in December 2024, requires the installation of rooftop solar projects across union government buildings in seven States viz. Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.  

Now, the company has received a Letter of Intent from Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd. (JVVNL) for setting up 6.89 MW grid-connected solar plants through RESCO mode under Component A of PM-KUSUM Scheme.

The scope of work includes design, survey, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, operations and maintenance (for 25 years) of the solar plants, its associated 11 kV line to connect the plant with various 33/11 kV sub-stations and remote monitoring system (RMS) of solar power plants. The projects need to be completed within 9 months.
