Tata Power Trading Company Inks Agreement to Install 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

As per the regulatory filing by Tata Power, by March 2024, the plant will be commissioned.

Tata Power Trading Company has inked a power purchase agreement with TP Saurya to install a 200 MW solar project at Bikaner in Rajasthan.

It is observed that TP Saurya (TPSL) is a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), which is a subsidiary of Tata Power.

As per the regulatory filing by Tata Power, by March 2024, the plant will be commissioned.

TPTCL with TPSL was inked a PPA for a 25-year tenure and the project will facilitate 485 million units of electricity annually.

TPREL's total renewable energy capacity has augmented to 6,788 MW, with 3,917 MW installed (solar 2,989 MW and wind - 928 MW) and 2,871 MW in many phases of implementation.

Tata Power set up Tata Power Trading Co. Ltd in December 2003, as its wholly-owned subsidiary company.

TPTCL is the owner of the first trading license released by CERC in June 2004, it has Category I, Trading License which implies trading unlimited units of power, both on an Interstate and Intrastate basis.

Tp Saurya Limited is a public company established on 2 August 2020. It is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
