Tata Power Solar continues to be India’s premier solar module manufacturing facility

Tata Power Solar has 125 MW of module and 84 MW of active cell manufacturing capacity.

Tata Power Solar, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Power, continues to be one of India’s largest solar cell and modules manufacturing facility. Tata Power Solar was founded in 1989 as a Joint Venture between BP Solar and Tata Power, and after the recent demerger with BP Solar, operates independently as a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power.

 

The Company currently operates world class facilities in Bangalore for the production of solar cells and modules that are known for their quality, high efficiency and durability. Tata Power Solar has 125 MW of module and 84 MW of active cell manufacturing capacity; an additional 96 MW of cell capacity is available for rapid ramp in coming year.

 

Over its 22 year history, Tata Power Solar has shipped more than 500 MW of high quality modules across the globe to the US, Europe, Asia and Australia under the BP Solar relationship. The Company maintains the same superior quality of modules in its domestic and overseas markets, at a cost and quality competitive with the best in the world

 

In addition, with the launch of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM), Tata Power Solar has been growing rapidly in its projects and systems business as well. Tata Power Solar provides world-class EPC services to solar power project developers, customized solar solutions to large industrial customers and low-cost products and systems for rural and residential market via its dealer network.

 

Tata Power Solar plans to aggressively invest in new product development that will expand its product portfolio and facilitate entry into new markets.
