Tata Power Renewable Energy Wins 200 MW Solar PV Project from MSEDCL
The solar PV project in Maharashtra will be able to offset 432.94 million kg of carbon.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL) has received an order of 200 MW solar PV project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) which is a wholly-owned organisation under the Maharashtra Government. The order is for setting up the solar PV project in Solapur, Maharashtra.
As per the statement, the solar power project is slated to start within 18 months from the PPA effecting date. The solar installation will offset about 432.94 million kg of carbon emissions per year.

With this solar PV project, the total renewable energy capacity of TPREL will be 6,503 MW whereas the installed capacity will be 3,909 MW out of which solar power will take up 2,981 MW, wind power will constitute 928 MW, and 2,594 MW will be under various stages of implementation.
The statement informs that TPREL had received a Letter of Award (LoA) from MSEDCL for the establishing of a 200 MW solar power project.
