Tata Power Renewable Energy Inks PDA with Dr. Abhay Firodia Group

Under the terms of the agreement, Force Motors Limited, a fully vertically integrated automobile company, is poised to utilize 6.2 MW AC power, consuming 13.64 MUs annually.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has entered into a 25-year Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of Companies - Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited. This partnership, under the Group Captive scheme, is set to propel advancements in the adoption of green power.

Under the terms of the agreement, Force Motors Limited, a fully vertically integrated automobile company, is poised to utilize 6.2 MW AC power, consuming 13.64 Million Units (MUs) annually. Simultaneously, Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, another group company, will harness 7.0 MW AC power, consuming 15.40 MUs annually. 

The group captive solar plant, nestled in Achegaon, Maharashtra, boasts a robust capacity of 13.2 MW AC, generating an annual output of 29.04 MUs, significantly reducing carbon emissions by approximately 21,200 metric tons per year.

The ambitious project is scheduled for completion within 12 months from the signing of the PDA, with TPREL at the helm, overseeing the development, management, and maintenance of the group captive solar plant facility. 

Commenting on the partnership, Deepesh Nanda, CEO and MD of TPREL, expressed excitement, stating, "We are excited to collaborate with Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of Companies - Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited to set up a group captive solar plant. This alliance reiterates our commitment to providing customized sustainable energy solutions for industries."

Prasan Firodia, MD, Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, shared his enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled about the prospects this partnership brings. By aligning with TPREL, we are not only addressing our energy needs but also playing a part in shaping a sustainable future."

TPREL, a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, sees its total renewables capacity reaching 8,327 MW with this addition.
