Tata Power hosted Odisha’s first State-Level Urja Mela, bringing together over 470 students from more than 500 schools across the State to promote energy conservation and sustainability.

The event, part of Tata Power's Club Enerji initiative, aligns with the Government of India’s Mission LiFE and serves as a precursor to the company’s annual national Urja Mela.

The Odisha Urja Mela featured a range of competitions, including Science Exhibitions, 'Best Out of Waste' models, Painting, Quizzes, and Essays. Special activities for visually impaired and deaf students reinforced Tata Power’s commitment to inclusivity under its Pay Autention initiative.

The event also witnessed the launch of the Club Enerji Conservation Booklet in Odia, empowering students with practical tools for energy conservation. Senior leaders from Tata Power, including Himal Tewari, and dignitaries from UNICEF, UNDP, Tata Group companies, and various NGOs participated.

The event also showcased Tata Power’s 'Gaja Sanrakshana' initiative, highlighting biodiversity and habitat conservation.

As per the firm, Tata Power’s Club Enerji program, active since 2007, has engaged over 1,200 schools nationwide, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among five lakh students, with Odisha emerging as a key contributor to this mission.
