Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a pioneer in India’s electric vehicle (EV) segment and a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has unveiled two new exclusive TATA.ev retail outlets in Kerala, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility.

The stores, located in Kannur (Thottada) and Thrissur (Kuttanellur), are part of the brand's growing EV ecosystem in the State. The Kannur outlet is a 5,200 sq. ft. facility, distinguished as Kerala’s and South India’s first EV-exclusive retail and service center, equipped with a 10-bay workshop to meet the rising demand for EV maintenance services.

The Thrissur store spans 7,000 sq. ft., situated in the heart of the city’s auto hub near National Highway 544. In a move towards sustainability, the Thrissur outlet has been built by repurposing and modernizing an existing structure, in line with TPEM’s eco-conscious principles.

These additions follow the August 2024 launch of two TATA.ev outlets in Kerala, underscoring the state’s accelerating transition towards electric mobility. The stores were inaugurated by Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of TPEM.

As per the firm's statement, these stores reflect the brand's vision of providing seamless sales and service experiences for its EV customers.

It may be mentioned that in November 2023, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), both subsidiaries of Tata Motors, signed an MoU to license JLR’s Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform. This partnership would focus on the development of TPEM's Avinya EV series, set for production in 2025

Moreover, TPEM has achieved significant milestones, with models like the Nexon.ev and Punch.ev earning 5-star safety ratings from Bharat-NCAP, highlighting the brand's focus on performance and safety. With a 70 percent market share in the Indian EV segment and over 1 lakh EVs sold, Tata is shaping India’s transition to green mobility through innovation and expanded accessibility.
