Suzlon Group, a Pune-based renewable energy solutions provider, announced a strong 91 percent year-on-year profit growth for Q3 FY25, ending December 31, 2024.
As per the firm, the company posted a net profit of INR 388 Crore, up from INR 203 Crore in the same quarter last year, highlighting its strong financial performance and market position.
Suzlon secured 447 MW of new orders in Q3 FY25, a substantial increase from 170 MW in Q3 FY24. This growth is attributed to Suzlon’s leadership in the Indian wind energy market, bolstered by its advanced S144 wind turbine technology. As a result, revenue surged to INR 2,969 Crore, compared to INR 1,553 Crore in Q3 FY24. The company’s EBITDA rose by 102 percent YoY, reaching INR 500 Crore, with an improvement in EBITDA margin to 16.8 percent from 15.9 percent the previous year.
Suzlon’s profit growth was supported by higher operational efficiency, volume expansion, and margin improvements. Notably, the net finance cost dropped significantly to INR 42 Crore from INR 5 Crore in Q3 FY24, reflecting the company’s effective financial management.
The company stated that S144 Wind Turbines continue to drive Suzlon's market leadership, making up 92 percent of its order book, which has reached a record 5.5 GW. In Q3 FY25, Suzlon achieved the milestone of delivering its 300th S144 turbine.
