Suzlon Bags 180.6 MW Wind Project in Karnataka from Sembcorp Subsidiary

Pune-headquartered Suzlon Group has secured a new order for the development of a 180.6 MW wind power project for Green Infra Wind Energy Ltd, the renewable energy arm of Sembcorp.

Pune-headquartered Suzlon Group has secured a new order for the development of a 180.6 MW wind power project for Green Infra Wind Energy Ltd, the renewable energy arm of Sembcorp.
 
Under the contract, the wind turbine maker would install 86 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.
 
The project, located in Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot, Karnataka, is expected to be commissioned in 2024.
 
In this project, the Tulsi Tanti-founded company’s scope of work includes the supply of wind turbines (equipment supply) and execution of the project including, erection and commissioning.
 
Post commissioning, it will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
