Sunsure Energy Signs MoU with Government of Tamil Nadu to Develop 4 RE Projects

Sunsure Energy has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to develop four renewable energy production projects with a combined capacity of 500 MW in the state.
Sunsure Energy will be investing INR 3,150 Crores to set up these projects in the next three years. The announcement was made during the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024.
The company intends to develop three solar power plants with capacity of 100 MW each and a wind power plant with capacity of 200 MW strategically positioned across the state. These projects are expected to commence between 2024 – 2027 with Tuticorin & Tirunelveli project scheduled to commence in FY 2024-25.
The agreement is expected to provide large-scale employment opportunity both direct and indirect for the locals while contributing to the state's development. These greenfield projects will strengthen Tamil Nadu’s renewable energy capacity by adding 500 MW of green energy. The 4 projects will incorporate Sunsure Energy’s state-of-the-art technology and sustainable environmental practices.
