Sun Drops Energia Bags 62.20 MW Solar Order, Boosts KPI Green Energy's CPP Capacity
Sun Drops Energia, a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy, has secured a 62.20 MW solar project order under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment. This increases KPI Green Energy’s total CPP capacity to 152.34 MW, expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

Sun Drops Energia Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Ltd., has received a new order to develop solar power projects with a total capacity of 62.20 MW under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) business segment.
The orders, awarded by multiple domestic clients under the Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) policy of the Gujarat Renewable Energy Policy-2023 and the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) Tariff Orders No. 5 and 6 of 2024, strengthen the company’s position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector.
These projects, structured as Letters of Award, are expected to be developed in various phases and completed by the financial year 2025-26.
The total capacity of 62.20 MW will contribute to the company's growing renewable energy portfolio, which has now reached 152.34 MW under the CPP segment. With this order, the total capacity announced by KPI Green Energy Ltd. on April 30, June 5, August 2, August 26, and September 3, 2024, has increased to 152.34 MW in the CPP business segment.
With the addition of these orders, KPI Green Energy’s cumulative order book for the CPP segment has grown to an impressive 1.60 GW, further exhibiting its commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions.
