Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Locks Rs 2,200 Cr Deal with NTPC

Solar EPC solutions provider Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has bagged an order worth approx. Rs 2,200 crore from state-owned power major NTPC for 1,570 MWdc solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Gujarat.

Solar EPC solutions provider Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has bagged an order worth approx. Rs 2,200 crore from state-owned power major NTPC for 1,570 MWdc solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Gujarat.
 
The Mumbai-headquartered company won the L-1 bid for the BOS package of the proposed solar plant of NTPC’s renewable arm, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd.
 
SWREL in a statement said that “the company has emerged as the L-1 bidder for the BOS package comprising 4 blocks of the proposed solar PV plant of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd at Khavda RE Power Park, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat with an aggregate capacity of ~ 1,570 MW DC.”
 
The total bid value, including operations & maintenance (O&M) for 3 years would be ~ INR 2,200 Crore (inclusive of taxes), it added.
 
However, the formal letter of intent (LOI) and contract signing will happen in due course, the company further said.
