Soltec to Supply Solar Trackers for Brazil’s 850 MW Project
Spanish solar tracker manufacturer, Soltec Power Holdings has announced that through its subsidiary Soltec Energías Renovables S.L., it has signed a contract with Brazilian Focus Energia - to supply solar trackers for a project in Brazil amounting to 852 MW.
As per the contract, the project will begin the installation phase in July 2021.

Spanish solar tracker manufacturer, Soltec Power Holdings has announced that through its subsidiary Soltec Energías Renovables S.L., it has signed a contract with Brazilian Focus Energia - to supply solar trackers for a project in Brazil amounting to 852 MW.
As per the contract, the project will begin the installation phase in July 2021. Moreover, it will be the largest project in Latin America with bifacial trackers, so far.
Soon after the commencement of the deal, Raul Morales, CEO of Soltec Power Holdings, commented: "It is a real pleasure to work for a customer such as Focus Energia. Soltec Power Holdings, already has a strong leadership role in the Brazilian industry, with a market share of 35.7 percent and a track record of 2.2 GW (out of the company's total of 8.4 GW) in this market.
As a result, the company's operating ability continues to grow (backlog). Soltec Industrial had a backlog of €190 million and a pipeline of €2,665 million at the end of December 2020, of which €1,917 million was associated with projects with a probability of completion equal to or greater than 50 percent.
With this transaction, Soltec Power Holdings increases its operating backlog and confirms the good visibility for the financial year 2021 in its Soltec Industrial business line. The contract marks the commitment of Soltec Power Holdings towards the country; considered as a global PV power company with developmental potential.
Since its incorporation, Soltec has supplied trackers for projects with a total of approximately 8.4 GW of installed capacity. It has a diversified geographic presence focused on Spain, North America, and Latin America.
