Solarium Green Energy Ltd. has announced that the company is currently working on developing a 1 MW ground-mounted solar project at the Air Force Station in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This project, covering 4 acres, is a significant step towards transitioning the defence sector to renewable energy sources.
“We are proud to be providing end-to-end services, from design and installation to ongoing maintenance. This is one of the challenging projects, as it requires rigorous documentation and approval processes verified by central departments,” stated the company.
The company further stated that this project adds to its growing portfolio of renewable energy projects within the defence sector, with six other projects currently underway across India.
In another development, Solarium Green Energy has successfully installed a 110 kW solar carport in Bharuch, Gujarat and is touted as one of the largest carports in the region.
The company provided end-to-end services, including installation and maintenance, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and sustainably for a long time. This solar power now fuels critical infrastructure - the Municipality’s sewage treatment plant and water treatment plants, helping Bharuch and nearby areas manage their resources efficiently.
Solarium Green Energy worked with Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) as the project consultant to ensure the highest quality throughout the entire process.
“This is part of our larger solar initiative, where we’ve successfully installed 881 kW of solar carports across 10+ cities in Gujarat,” the company informed.
“However, like any ground-breaking venture, we faced several challenges along the way, from uneven terrain to complex installations, but our team tackled each obstacle with determination and expertise. With heavy civil work and top-notch materials, we overcame these hurdles to deliver a high-standard, durable solar solution,” it said.
