Though CSML identified more than 60 institutions for setting up rooftop solar plants in the city, they could set up the plants at 28 institutions only.

An official with CSML, said, “Most of the firms we identified were later proven to be not suitable for the project. Now, we have completed the works at 28 institutions,”.

Presently, CSML authorities are carrying out the procedures to connect the plants at these firms to KSEB’s grid. “We have already connected the plants at six institutions, including Ernakulam General Hospital, with KSEB’s grid. Now, we are in the process of securing grid connectivity to other plants also,” the official said.

CSML has already earmarked Rs 10 crore for a public bicycle sharing project. As part of the project, they have procured 160 bicycles and set up 16 docking yards attached to the Metro stations in different parts of the city.
