Australia’s premier clean energy event, the All Energy Australia (AEA) exhibition, was recently held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing the latest innovations and advancements in the renewable energy sector.
This highly anticipated two-day gathering attracted industry experts and participants from around the world. As a participant in the event, SOFAR exhibited its state-of-the-art solar and energy storage solutions.
"SOFAR has garnered international acclaim for its expertise and innovation in the solar and storage sectors. At AEA 2024, the company received the distinguished Top PV Inverter Brand Australia 2024 award from EUPD Research, further solidifying its position in the market," said the firm in its note.
At the event, SOFAR introduced the 'PowerAll' integrated residential solar and storage system, that optimises space efficiency. This innovative modular design allows customers to select battery modules and expand their capacity flexibly. 'PowerAll' is equipped with high energy density batteries and advanced battery management technology, minimising energy loss while effectively managing household green energy supply.
The firm further added that it has prioritised strengthening its competitive edge through continuous product innovation, establishing three global R&D centers and two large-scale manufacturing bases. By the close of 2023, SOFAR had shipped an impressive 31 GW of inverters globally, with its products now available in over 100 countries and regions.
It may be mentioned that Australia has witnessed extraordinary growth in its photovoltaic (PV) market, driven by technological advancements, decreasing costs, and supportive government initiatives. Thus, recognising Australia as a strategic market since 2016, SOFAR has assembled a professional, localized team by hiring experienced local talent and tailoring its solutions to align with the specific regulatory environment in Australia. The establishment of a local warehouse in Melbourne and a service center in Sydney has enhanced SOFAR's marketing and supply chain capabilities, enabling the seamless integration of renewable energy and driving down energy costs for businesses.
Recent statistics indicate that the country added 4.6 GW of new PV capacity, with distributed PV systems comprising 68 percent of that total. Additionally, in 2023, a record 57,000 residential battery storage systems were installed, boosting the overall capacity to 656 MWh. These developments underscore Australia’s commitment to enhancing its solar and energy storage infrastructure.
Australia ranks among the top five residential energy storage markets worldwide, with one-third of its households currently utilising rooftop solar systems.
As a developed nation blessed with abundant sunlight, Australia’s solar and storage market is poised for remarkable growth. "SOFAR is dedicated to intensifying its localized service efforts in Australia, with plans to increase investments in human, financial, and material resources to support the market's expansion," said the firm.
