Smart City Guidelines to be on center stage at the SSCI 2015, Bengaluru India

It is projected that urban India will contribute nearly 75% of the national GDP in the next 15 years. Cities are accordingly referred to as the engines of economic growth. There is accordingly a crying need for the cities to get smarter to handle this large-scale urbanization and finding new ways to manage complexity, increase efficiency, reduce expenses, and improve quality of life. Cities are accordingly referred to as the engines of economic growth. The urban landscape in India is set to change with the announcement of the Smart City guidelines. The Government of India has approved and earmarked 1Lakh crore over the next five years for smart cities. The fact remains that there is no set definition or framework for smart cities... it’s are still a vague term.
