SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL) has won an order worth INR 600 crore for installing a 100 MW STU Connected Solar PV Power Plant in Rajasthan. The wholly-owned subsidiary of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has bagged the project from Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RUVNL).
RUVNL floated Request for Selection (RfS) for developing 100 MW STU-connected solar PV power plant in which Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) participated through its arm SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL). It won 100 MW at 2.62 per unit on a Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis under an open competitive tariff bidding process followed by an e-Reverse auction.
The solar plant would generate 252 MU in the first year and over 25 years, its cumulative energy generation is expected to be around 5,866 MU. The commissioning would reduce 2,87,434 tonnes of carbon emission, contributing to the government’s journey towards net zero emissions.
With this project, SJVN’s renewable portfolio reaches 1,100 MW in Rajasthan. Last year, SJVN achieved financial closure for a large 1,000 MW solar power project at Bikaner. The renewable project portfolio of SJVN stands at 3,183 MW.
