SJVN has successfully secured a 100 MW Solar Power Project through an e-Reverse Auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

The quoted capacity was obtained at INR 2.63/Unit on a Build Own and Operate basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project, to be developed by SJVN's subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), is estimated to cost around Rs 550 crore.

It is expected to be commissioned within 18 months from the date of signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which will be signed between SGEL and GUVNL for a 25-year duration.

The Ground Mounted Solar Project will be developed anywhere in India, and its first-year commissioning is anticipated to generate approximately 252 million units. Over a 25-year period, the cumulative energy generation is estimated to be about 5866 million units, contributing to a reduction of 287,434 tonnes of carbon emissions.

This project addition brings SJVN's solar and wind portfolio to 5090.5 MW, with 179.5 MW in operation, 1860 MW under construction, and 3051 MW in various stages of implementation.

The company is actively working towards achieving its Mission of 12,000 MW by 2026 and its shared vision of 25,000 MW by 2030, with an ultimate goal of reaching 50,000 MW installed capacity by 2040.
