SJVN Secures LoI for 75 MW Solar Project in UP

Mini Ratna company, SJVN has secured a Letter of Intent (LoI) to develop 75 MW grid connected solar power project in Uttar Pradesh (UP).

Mini Ratna company, SJVN has secured a Letter of Intent (LoI) to develop 75 MW grid connected solar power project in Uttar Pradesh (UP).

State-owned power project developer had won the project from nodal agency Uttar Pradesh New and Renewal Development Agency (UPNEDA) under tariff based competitive bidding.

SJVN, a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh, will develop this 75 MW solar power project at the location identified by UPNEDA near village Parasan in Kalpi Tehsil of Jalaun district in UP.

As per the terms of the biding, the power generated from this project will be procured by UPNEDA for 25 years from SJVN at a quoted tariff of Rs 2.68 / KWh.

The company said that these projects will assist in achieving its ambitious shared vision of 5 GW by 2023, 12 GW by 2030 and 25 GW by 2040 and simultaneously contribute towards renewable energy capacity addition target of 175 GW by 2022 set by the Indian government.
