SJVN Limited Concludes Reverse Auction for 1500 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project

SJVN Limited has successfully concluded a reverse auction for a 1500 MW wind-solar hybrid project. The auction, characterized by competitive bidding, resulted in the establishment of an opening L1 tariff of INR 3.43/kWh, signaling a growing competitiveness and viability of wind-solar hybrid technologies in the country's energy landscape.
Juniper Green Energy Private Limited emerged as a leader, securing 150 MW at the opening tariff rate of INR 3.43/kWh whereas Datta Power Infra Private Limited secured 50 MW at INR 3.47/kWh.

Other notable participants included Green Infra Wind Energy Limited, Energizent Power Private Limited, and Green Prairie Energy Private Limited, securing capacities of 440 MW, 270 MW, and 60 MW respectively, at a slightly higher tariff of INR 3.48/kWh.
Avaada Energy Private Limited, a key contender in the auction, secured 530 MW out of its bid for 750 MW, at a final tariff of INR 3.49/kWh. However, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, though participating, did not secure any capacity, bidding at INR 3.55/kWh.
This successful auction highlights the increasing competitiveness of renewable energy technologies and reflects a commitment to meet India's rising energy demands.
Avaada Energy Private Limited, a key contender in the auction, secured 530 MW out of its bid for 750 MW, at a final tariff of INR 3.49/kWh. However, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, though participating, did not secure any capacity, bidding at INR 3.55/kWh.
