SJVN Green Energy Seeks Land for 200 MW Solar Projects in Assam, Invites Bids

SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has initiated the bidding process for the acquisition or lease of up to 800 acres of land in Assam to establish solar power projects with a capacity of 200 MW.
The invitation for bids includes all necessary statutory clearances, aiming to support renewable energy infrastructure in the region.
Interested parties have until May 10, 2024, to submit their bids, with the bidding process set to conclude with the opening of bids on the same day. Bidders are required to remit INR 5,000 plus 18 percent GST as the cost of the tender document.
Prospective developers must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) or bid security corresponding to the size of the land parcel they intend to procure. The EMD amounts are as follows: INR 20 lakhs for 200 acres, INR 40 lakhs for 400 acres, INR 60 lakhs for 600 acres, and INR 80 lakhs for 800 acres.
Furthermore, bidders are permitted to propose multiple land parcels, provided they do not exceed a total of 1,200 acres. Each connected parcel must be a minimum of 200 acres, with parcels smaller than this size not being considered.
Proposals combining outright purchase and lease arrangements for land parcels will not be entertained, ensuring clarity and simplicity in the bidding process.
