SJVN Green Energy, a subsidiary of SJVN, is inviting bids for the purchase or lease of 1,000 acres of land in Punjab for a 200 MW solar power project. The bidding process is open until December 20, 2023, with the bids scheduled to be opened on the same day.

Bidders are required to submit bid documents with a cost of INR 5,900. Participants can propose multiple land lots, but each linked land parcel should be either 250 acres or multiples of 250 acres.

The property must have all necessary statutory clearances and perimeter chain-link fencing. Successful bidders should facilitate connections with the State Transmission Utility to ease the establishment of the solar power projects.

Earnest money deposits are as follows: INR 500,000 for 250 acres, INR 1 million for 500 acres, INR 1.5 million for 750 acres, and INR 2 million for more than 1,000 acres.

The land may be situated within a solar park, allowing SJVN Green Energy to acquire it outright in compliance with solar park regulations.

The land should receive a minimum of 1,650 kWh/m2 of annual global horizontal irradiance. Bidders must have ownership or an Agreement to Sell for at least 20 percent of the offered land parcel at the time of bid submission.
