Prior to this, Vepakomma served at NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. as Chief General Manager.

Prior to this, Vepakomma served at NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. as Chief General Manager responsible for engineering, contracts, commercial and business development functions and he has also been the CEO of JV company of NTPC Green Energy and IOCL Ltd.
Vepakomma has more than 30 years of experience in the Power sector in areas like project construction, commissioning, O&M, energy and efficiency management, maintenance planning, and developing solar, wind, and hybrid storage solutions.
Vepakomma is an engineering graduate and holds an MSc. in Energy Systems and Environment from the University of Strathclyde, UK, and has completed a Post Graduate Certification Program on Project Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
SECI is the CPSU dedicated to the development and expansion of Renewable Energy (RE) capacity in India. The organization has been facilitating market development and creating an ecosystem for RE by conceiving/prototyping/modeling/policy advocacy with innovative project configurations, such as Solar-Wind hybrid with/without energy storage, Round The Clock (RTC) power supply, RE with assured peak power supply, Firm and Dispatchable RE (FDRE) and more.
