Indian solar pump manufacturer Shakti Pumps has announced increasing procurement of DCR cell-based solar modules for FY 2025-26.
The company has tied up with ReNew Photovoltaic for an additional supply of DCR cell-based solar modules worth INR 1,300 crore.
“We are happy to inform you about the additional tie-up for the DCR cell-based Solar Module for FY 2025-26. The company has an existing partnership with Mundra Solar PV Ltd. (Adani) and Premier Energies Ltd. for the supply of DCR cell-based Solar modules,” the company informed in a regulatory filing.
Notably, the company is a key player in solar pumps segment and increasingly, there is an increasing demand for DCR-compliant modules as the projects under PM-KUSUM scheme mandates it. And, in a recent investor call, the company cited the issue of shortage in DCR solar panels limiting its growth.
During an investor call, the company’s Chairman Dinesh Patidar expressed confidence in achieving 20-25 percent growth in the current market conditions but highlighted the shortage of DCR cell-based modules as a limiting factor.
“This new partnership is expected to further accelerate the company's growth momentum,” it said further adding that these enhanced tie-ups reinforce the company’s commitment to driving growth and maintaining its leadership position.
